About the Author
D. M. Dian was born in Hungary and grew up in the UK. It was during this most nebulous phase of "growing up" - which he is still be reported to be doing - that he fell in love with fantasy and science fiction.
Witnessing Anakin battle Obi-Wan on Mustafar, seeing Gandalf arrive at Helm's Deep, experiencing the climax of his childhood at the snap of Tony Stark's fingers . . . Ah, such were the defining moments of his adolescent geekdom. But it wasn't until his second year of university that he actually started reading fiction, and discovered the wonderful joy of books! After having his imagination set alight by Project Hail Mary (Andy Weir) and A Game of Thrones (George R. R. Martin), Dian was inspired to try his own hand at creating an epic.
It began with a few fun ideas, then quickly blossomed into a rough outline for what would one day become The Plasmythos. He also became a Christian early on in this journey, and his faith has been instrumental to his writing ever since. Four years, seven gruelling drafts, and fathomless hours sunk into watching amazing storytelling content on YouTube later, he self-published his debut novel Meridian Dawns.
He wants to tell stories that move, that encourage, that challenge, that inspire. He's still honing his craft, but feels incredibly blessed to have made it this far, and dreams of using his platform to help others along the way. In his free time he enjoys studying the Bible, eating grapes (like a lot), and exploring the world with his wife.
